This privacy policy explains how Drag it out, (‘we’ or ‘us’) collects, stores, uses, and discloses any personal information that you provide to us when using this website.

Who we are

We host a Drag Queen competition in Christchurch, New Zealand. This competition will take place since March till December 2019. We’ll host 4 shows along the year and the grand finale on December.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Personal Information

We collect personally identifiable information. Providing this information will always be optional for you. However, some services or information may not be available to you if you chose not to offer it.

From time to time, we may run contests or other promotions. If you participate, we may request your name, mailing address, email address and additional information to administer the promotion. When you submit a request, review or comment to our customer service department, we may ask you for your email address.

We also collect aggregated data. Our systems generate this information as they track traffic through our sites. This information does not identify you personally and is not linked to the personally identifiable information that you may have provided.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

How do we use the information?

When you register, complete a form or participate in any contest or promotion on our website, we will use the information you provided to us to send you email or regular mail from us and “South Media Entertainment” regarding products, services or other contests and promotions that we think may be of interest to you.

We may use the data to verify your identity if you need help with a forgotten password, or you are having login difficulties with any of our site services.

From time to time we may aggregate your information analyse trends, preferences, and demographics. We may use the information for other purposes with your prior permission.

Each competition that you enter will often have their terms and conditions which will also include rules around privacy.

How we protect your data

Personal information collected on this website is collected and held by Drag it Out. We will take reasonable efforts to protect personal information that is held by us from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. We will keep your personal information for as long as we have a relationship with you. Once our relationship with you has come to an end, we will retain your personal information for a period of time that enables us to maintain business records for analysis and/or audit purposes. We will delete your personal information when it is no longer required for these purposes. If there is any information that we are unable, for technical reasons, to delete entirely from our systems, we will put in place appropriate measures to prevent any further processing or use of the data.
